Let's Make a Deal

Without faith, it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6. Are we willing to sign up for an insane obstacle course –IF- we know what the prize is… if we think it’s worth it? Do we TRUST that God will be faithful to reward us immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine, Ephesians 3:20?

It’s like we’ve all signed up for “Let’s Make a Deal” with God. “Lord, if you tell me in advance what I’ll ‘win’, then maybe I’ll play.” It’s as if we think there’s a huge ZONK behind the door of our life. Do we really have so little faith in God – that we think if we follow His plan, His desire, His way in our life that we’ll wake up and find that we’ve been ZONKED? Is that the God we serve? Is that the kind of God who leaves heavenly places to become a slave to this earth and flesh; to be brutally and shamefully sacrificed?

I’m overwhelmed at my sin. My sin may not be visible to those around me, but to my God, who knows me intimately, it is blaring like the sun. My sin is a lack of faith; faith that He prepared good things for me to walk out, in advance Ephesians 2:10. That even with my sinful nature, I desire and know how to give good things to my children – how much more would my loving God and Abba give to me, Matthew 7:11 & Luke 11:13.

Today, I will wait expectantly – trusting [believing for] the GOOD things He has planned for me, Lamentations 3:25 & Hebrews 11:1.
