Here are a few things I think we are afraid of. I think we are afraid of being wrong. I’m not really sure why being right is so important; outside of a dangerous or moral wrong, – right is very subjective. As Steven Covey points out, who is right; the person that sees a beautiful young woman or the person that sees an elderly woman with very distinctive features? I assure you, until we see both – we incorrectly believe that our “view” is right. Proverbs 28:13
I believe we are afraid of managing our feelings. I’d suggest that we should not allow every blundering feeling that we encounter to determine our reactions or decisions? Feeling is just fine, as long as it is weighed against some level of wisdom and rationale. James 1:5-7
I know it's hard to believe, but there's still more to unpack... feel free to follow along in my next post. I hope you'll consider joining my journey of healing. Subscribe for updates!
Feel free to share your thoughts, struggle, and overcoming tips. I'm sure they will spark another element of my healing journey. If you feel my journey is helping you along yours, or you think it will help someone else in your world, please share this. If COVID taught us anything, it's no matter if you're an introvert or inward thinker, isolation and the sense of being alone is pure torture. Let's not do this alone!
You're always welcome!
